As a fully qualified micropigmentation specialist  I have attended many in-person training classes, as well as completing many online training courses.

I have frequently come across  training material containing errors - typos, poor grammar, broken hyperlinks, inconsistency, and content that does not flow or make sense, (which is especially confusing when trying to learn a completely new topic).

 

I don't know about you, but when I  spend  my precious money on training,  I expect good quality training materials, especially if what "sold" a training provider to me in the first place was their claims to be the best.  I expect them to care enough about the impression they make  in all aspects of their training package, not just in the classroom experience.

For some trainers, their strengths and passion lie in sharing their industry knowledge, artistic skills and ability with their students in class, rather than in the tedium and challenge of writing manuals and course material.  This is especially true for those who have to deal with added challenges in their life, such as dyslexia.

I have nearly 20 years experience working in a very large corporate organisation where amongst other responsibilities, I regularly created, proofed and edited project plans, risk assessments, training manuals, presentations, tender documents, and proposals (many for multi-million dollar business opportunities).

Although my artistic flare and the desire to help people eventually brought me into the micropigmentation world, my "nerdy" skills are still there and available to those who need my help!
